Andalusia 2012 – A Travelogue – part 3 – Ronda, Gibraltar and Jerez

This is part 3 of a 7 part travelogue. On this leg of the trip, the writer visits Ronda and Gibraltar before arriving in Jerez.

On Gibraltar, the party took a minibus tour visiting St Michael’s Cave – with its natural theatre, and stalactites and stalagmites – and the Rock, where the family encountered hundreds of monkeys (Barbary Macaques) which made for some amusing photographs.

They also visited the Great Siege Tunnels and the article includes plenty of historical and cultural background.

After driving to their hotel in Jerez the family enjoyed an authentic meal at a nearby Argentinian restaurant, Parilla de la Pampa, and the obligatory glass of sherry, which the region is famous for.
